Time Hostel

Time Hostel offers affordable accommodation in the heart of Jyväskylä, in the upper town area next to the university. The hostel features rooms for 1-4 people as well as a shared dormitory for eight people. In total, there’s accommodation for 25 people, and with additional beds, the capacity extends to 33 people.

Uniquely and individually decorated rooms come with a private fridge, LED TV with Netflix and Chromecast, work desk, WiFi, and in some rooms, a sofa bed. Shower and toilet facilities are located in the hallway. Guests can prepare their own meals from breakfast to dinner in the hostel’s communal kitchen. Next to the kitchen there is a lounge area for socializing and dining. In the corner library, you can relax by reading or playing PlayStation or board games. Bicycles are available for rent in the vicinity of the hostel.

Narrative wall paintings adorn the walls and ceilings of the hostel. These paintings are created by a local artist known as “Huonosti maalatut seinät” (= Poorly painted walls) by Iikka Hackman. The end of the corridor features a memorial to the artist’s late good friend, and the lobby hosts a map where guests can mark their hometowns. Each accommodation room also boasts wall-painted art. The word “Time” appears in various expressions in most of the paintings.

All the city’s attractions, restaurants, and cafes are within walking distance from the hostel.
