The staff appreciated that most guests were there for the Etape Caledonia and made the check out process very easy at stupid o'clock in the morning??I was particularly impressed with the kitchen facilities. I did a lot of hostelling in the 90's and whilst each venue provided it's best they were very basic in comparison! One thing I would advise visitors is to arrive early if needing a parking space. Not the venues fault at all as space for parking is limited but best to arrive asap.Happy to have published

Reasons to visit
Pitlochry sits in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland. Easily accessible by train and bus, it's ideally situated for touring Highland Perthshire.
Set amidst hills, lochs and woodland, Pitlochry makes a superb base for outdoor enthusiasts wanting to explore the area's numerous walking and cycle routes.
The famous salmon ladder, Blair Castle, Blair Atholl Distillery and the Queen's View are not to be missed and Pitlochry Festival Theatre, known affectionately as the "Theatre in the Hills", offers a varied and exciting programme of events throughout the year.
Using the forest as a natural backdrop "The Enchanted Forest" in nearby Faskally Wood is a lighting show that is quite simply out of this world. Each October the autumn woodland is transformed into one of Scotland's premier light and sound experiences that dazzles and delights. Unmissable.
