HaBari We Dorm is a low cost, ethical and responsible hostel in the centre of Bari, born from the project “HaBari, no one is a foreigner”. We have redeveloped an unused building in the heart of the Libertà district, giving it new life through the upcycling of furniture, pursuing our idea of a green and 0-waste world, and transforming the hostel into the first touristic accommodation in Bari that gives people with vulnerabilities, both Italians and foreigners, especially refugees, the chance to find a dignified job combining hospitality and social responsibility to overcome many difficulties, such as marginalisation. In 2023, we won the UNHCR Welcome Award for our commitment to the employment of refugees. We are open all the year and we are an hostel affiliated with several Apulian walking itinerary groups as we support slow and responsible tourism. The structure is run predominantly by women, and consists of 2 dormitories, respectively with 8 and 4 beds, a double room (with the possibility of a third bed/cot) with bathroom and private veranda, two shared bathrooms, as well as a balcony, kitchen and living room, free Wi-Fi, a fridge, oven, a coffee machine, a shower, a hairdryer and a wardrobe. All guest rooms have bed linen.
