Seasonal Hostel: Open June 26 – August 31, 2020.Originally a coast guard station, HI Truro is the furthest hostel out on the ‘arm’ of Cape Cod. Located in the Cape Cod National Seashore, the hostel is just a 5-minute walk from the beach. Large picture windows provide a breathtaking view from the spacious kitchen and dining area. The Truro hostel has two private rooms in addition to dorms. Breakfast and parking are free.HI Truro provides easy access to fresh water ponds, bike paths, cranberry bogs, and nature trails. Provincetown, with its whale-watching opportunities and its vibrant street life, art galleries, shops, and restaurants is just 10 miles away.The hostel is located 2 miles (3.5 km) from the nearest bus stop, so bring along a bicycle for the hostel visit if not travelling by car. Getting to the hostel: Boston/Logan Airport: 130 miles. The hostel is approx. 2 mi (3.2km) from the bus stop. From Boston to Hyannis and take the Plymouth & Brockton (www.p-b.com) bus to ‘Jams’ Grocery-Deli store in Truro. From Provincetown take the Flex bus (http://www.capecodtransit.org/flex-route.htm) to the Truro -Cobb Library. *Walking at night and/or with heavy luggage to the hostel is not recommended. Free on-site parking. Uber and Lyft drivers are available as well as taxi to the hostel. Call the hostel for transportation options.
