Kirk Yetholm Friends of Nature House, nestling below the picturesque village green, is the former village school and will have been offering hostel style accommodation for 80 years in 2022.Located at the start / end of the Pennine Way it is a classic stop and is also ideal for those doing the St. Cuthbert’s Way and for cyclists on the Borderloop Cycle Route or Sustrans Route 84. A great base for local day hikes, particularly suited to individuals, families and small groups. Under 16’s should be accompanied by an adult sharing the same dorm.Recently upgraded, the house offers a friendly and peaceful retreat after a day exploring the stunning countryside and local heritage. There is a comfortable lounge, a well equipped kitchen, seating for 18 in the dining area and secure bike storage.Evening meals and breakfast are available in adjacent Border Hotel. Well stocked village shop and other eateries 10 min’s walk away.
