Hostel Rantakatti is located in the national landscape of Punkaharju, on the shore of Finland’s largest lake, Lake Saimaa, and is part of a 100-year-old farm. Our peaceful place forms a tidy service complex, and our hostel has a homely atmosphere. Three generations of the same family are at your service.
Customers have access to free WiFi. Common facilities include a fireplace lounge, grill, lean-to, patios, lakeside saunas, a hot tub, and a bonfire cabin. You can rent rowboats or canoes from us and glide on the waves of Lake Saimaa or take a dip in the clear waters. The Rantakatti restaurant serves local specialties. Guests can use the barbecue area and the outdoor smokehouse oven. A new addition is a residential raft, which you can use for overnight or day trips on Lake Saimaa.
Guests can also participate in church boat trips. There is also a riding stable near the courtyard. During winter, you can access ski trails from the courtyard, and in summer, you can explore the same terrain along hiking trails. On Midsummer, a bonfire is lit on our shore. Younger guests can visit the Mannila petting zoo.
