Hostel Ars Viva belongs to that part of the rural countryside where peace and authenticity meet. Instead of the hustle and bustle of the city, the inner countryside is reflected here, inviting guests to hiking, cycling, photography, exploring the forest, education, and above all, indigenous socializing. The Ars Viva Youth Hostel facilities were created from a farm building, and this image can be felt and seen even now. The hostel offers overnight accommodation for 40 people, the location is suitable for access from Ljubljana 62km and 91km from Koper.
Accommodation in the Youth Hostel consists of 10 rooms with 29 beds, all of which, except for dorm beds, are adapted for the disabled.
We have the following rooms available:
-3 double rooms with private bathroom
-4 double rooms with shared bathroom
-1 four-bed room with shared bathroom
-8 dorm beds in a mixed group dormitory with a shared bathroom
In the hostel area, there are 4 shared bathrooms available to guests, which are also adapted for the disabled.
Guests can prepare their own food in the hostel’s fully equipped shared kitchen. They enjoy breakfast on the terrace or by the evening fire in the amphitheatre
– Apartments consisting of 4 rooms with 12 beds + 2 extra beds and two shared bathrooms, all of which, except for dorm beds, are also adapted for the disabled.
Free internet and parking are available behind the entire hostel. We are also visited by guests with electric cars, where they can charge their car for free.
To give our guests a quality start to their day, we offer them a rich buffet breakfast as an option, and while looking out from the terrace, they can admire the mighty amphitheatre, where concerts, performances or shows take place. We also cater for groups that need space for education, meetings, social gatherings, meetings, and conferences. The hall offers guests full multimedia equipment that can accommodate up to 70 people.
If guests want to spend a quiet day, we have 2 terraces with free deckchairs available for them, and 2 equipped libraries cater for any desire to read a good book.
For entertainment, guests can choose between culinary, clay, painting and art workshops. We are happy to offer our guests the possibility of van transport with which they can explore the corners around Youth Hostel Ars Viva, the authentic Križna Cave, the cold Babno Polje, the mysterious Cerkniško Lake, the magical Slivnica, the extraordinary beginning of the karst world in Rakove Škocjan, the authentic Bloško Lake, and the brave can go to seeing a brown bear in its natural habitat.
We also encourage movement in nature, which is why the following rentals are also available to guests: trekking bikes, electric bikes, electric scooters, adapted bikes for the disabled and electric trailers for the disabled. The well-stocked information corner offers maps so that you can make a unique tour yourself and with our good guidance.
