“Stray Birds” characterises a positive attitude for navigating through life’s endless imagination and possibilities. It encourages young travellers to boldly express themselves as they pursue their dreams, urging them to passionately step forward, explore, and create a unique journey they can call their own. The hostel offers both shared and private accommodation. There is a communal area with public computers, various board games, travel groups, and books. Try out our Café Bar, selling a variety of selected beers and coffee.
There is a laundry with coin-operated washing machine, plus a dryer and iron. Prepare your food in the well equipped kitchen with induction cooker, oven, microwave, public refrigerator, free tea and coffee bags. A buffet breakfast is available too.
To reach the hostel:
From Taichung Airport – Take No. 302 bus from Taichung Airport. Get off at the Science Museum and walk along Meitsun Rd, toward Gongyi Rd. for roughly 10 minutes.
By car – Exit Nantun Interchange off Sun Yat-Sen Highway. Drive along Wuchuan W. Rd. Sect. 2. Turn left at Zhongming S. Rd. then right at Gongyi Rd.
By HIgh Speed Train – Take No. 159 bus from the HSR Taichung Station and get off at Gongyi Park. Walk along Gongyi Rd. for roughly 5 minutes to Taichung Train Station. Take No. 27 or 81 bus from Taichung Train Station. Get off at Gongyi and Zhongmei Intersection. Walk along Gongyi Rd. for roughly 1 min.
By U-Bike – Return your U-bike at Civic Square. Then walk along Gongyi Rd. towards Meitsun Rd. for roughly 3 minutes.
