Aalen

Welcome to Aalen, a place to relax, soak up some culture and have some fun! . This Roman town, with its winding streets and numerous half-timbered houses, is full of culture and is also the gateway to the Swabian Alb region. The hostel is located on the western outskirts of the town’s “Rohrwang” forest, right next to the Ostalb Arena.

Founded around 1240 AC Aalen became a Free Imperial City 100 years later and is home to the Limes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Limes Museum will give you insights into the largest Roman cavalry fort north of the Alps. Thermal water from the depths of the Swabian Alb tingles in the Limes Thermal Baths. If you like adventures then the “Tiefer Stollen” awaits! If you prefer culture experiences then visit the smallest municipal theatre in Germany which stages some unusual productions.
