Welcome to Danhostel Kolding, close to everything in Mid and Southern Jutland and just a one-hour drive from the Danish/German border. Located in green surroundings in the northern part of the town, the hostel is only a 10-minute walk from the town centre. Its location is considerably elevated, overlooking Koldinghus Castle, the castle lake, the harbour and the fjord. Danhostel Kolding was built in 1938, but has been modernised several times. It is a beautiful black wooden house with a red tiled roof.Popular attractions in Kolding is the former royal castle of Koldinghus built in the 13th century, now a museum with certain parts of the castle, chapel and hall being used for governmental ceremonial events. The Trapholt art museum and the gardens Geografisk Have. Kolding is also the site of Designskolen Kolding a university level design school and University College South. Kolding is just one-hour drive from the Danish/German border, Danfoss-Universe, the West Coast, Givskud Zoo and LEGOLAND amusement parks.
