Hostel Iiris is located within the Iiris Center with convenient transportation connections in Helsinki’s Itäkeskus district. The Iiris Center is a service and activity center for the visually impaired managed by the Finnish Federation of the Visually Impaired. By staying at Hostel Iiris, you also support the work done for the benefit of people with disabilities.
Hostel Iiris offers 40 comfortable accommodation rooms in spacious 1-3 person rooms, each with its own bathroom and refrigerator. All rooms have a private bathroom, refrigerator, radio, and WiFi. Some rooms can be connected with an adjoining door to create a family room. Children’s beds and extra beds are available. Near the accommodation rooms, there are lounges with televisions and kitchen corners, as well as laundry facilities. The Iiris Center and its accommodations are designed to be fully accessible for individuals with sensory and mobility impairments.
Getting here is easy by car, and the metro provides easy access to the city center in 15 minutes. The adjacent allotment garden area and the nearby seaside offer pleasant outdoor spaces. The building also features a playground for children. Groups have the possibility to reserve recreational and meeting spaces, as well as the swimming pool area.
