Hotelli ja hostelli Marja is a unique hostel located in the old barracks of the Tsarist era in Tykkipuisto Park in Mikkeli. The barracks were renovated in 2016, preserving the old values, and the accommodation expanded to include both hotel and hostel-level rooms. If desired, you can rent the entire building for your own group.
You can prepare your own meals in the spacious and well-equipped customer kitchen. We have provided oil, sugar, salt, coffee, and tea for customers to use. There is also a washing machine and ironing facilities available.
In addition to the attractions of Mikkeli, there are interesting sights and activities in the surroundings of the accommodation complex. Right next door is the Infantry Museum and Museum Café, and just 500 meters away is a Bowling Alley. Nearby, you’ll find a frisbee golf course, a 9-hole golf course, and the GalleriAri art gallery. At Urpolanlampi, you can swim in a sandy-bottomed beach, play beach volleyball, or explore the nature conservation area.
