ISLO Hostel is open year-round and is located in a green environment in the center of Joensuu. You can walk the two-kilometer distance along the beautiful Pielisjoki riverbank from the railway station, or you can take a local bus from Joensuu Market Square to reach the hostel.
ISLO Hostel is an excellent accommodation option for solo travelers, families, and groups. Situated on the peaceful Kalevankatu street, the hostel offers 24 comfortable and practical rooms in one or two-bedroom apartments. Each apartment has a kitchen and a bathroom. The hostel is just a short walk away from the city center services, Mehtimäki jogging trails, and the Sports Park.For children, there is a playground in the hostel’s backyard, and you can borrow books, toys, and games from us. The prices include breakfast, bed linens, and towels.
The beautiful Linnunlahti area and beach are near ISLO Hostel, and you can admire the Pielisjoki river, perhaps even from a canoe. The national landscape of Koli is 70 kilometers away, and you can order a minibus taxi from the hostel to take you there. For those arriving by car, it’s possible to get a free parking spot with a heating post in the backyard. In the city, you can visit the art museum and the handicraft district known as Taitokortteli. Joensuu also boasts many lovely cafes, and you can get recommendations from our reception!
