Hostel Visatupa is located in Sodankylä, and at Visatupa, guests stay in cosy and clean 2-4 person rooms or 4-6 person apartments. The rooms are in two buildings, sharing toilets, showers, and a kitchen. The apartments have their own combined living room and kitchen, a fridge, shower, toilet, and sauna. There’s also a comfortable lounge area that can be used for meetings, training sessions, or even dances. WiFi is available for guests. In the evening, it’s wonderful to relax in the lakeside sauna and take a dip in the lake – from the jetty in summer and through an ice hole in winter. Evenings can also be spent in a traditional Lappish hut, making pancakes or roasting sausages by a cozy campfire. In winter, there are cross-country ski trails in the surroundings. Skiing equipment and snowshoes are available for even a small group. Alternatively, you can go snowmobiling, kick sledding, or ice fishing. The Luosto ski resort is located 44 km away. During summer, you can hop on a bicycle to explore the Lapland surroundings, go fishing, or take a river boat ride. In the autumn, there’s the opportunity for berry picking and enjoying the fall foliage.
Hostel Visatupa is a farm located north of the Arctic Circle, situated by a pristine lake. The hosts of the hostel warmly welcome guests and take good care of them.
