Tiiliriihi is an accommodation facility maintained by Työväen Akatemia / Workers’ Academy, located in Kauniainen, approximately 2 km from the Kauniainen train station. The hostel’s courtyard features an arboretum with around 200 trees, where guests are free to explore.
Tiiliriihi has 20 double rooms, some of which are suitable for people with mobility limitations. All rooms are equipped with sheets, towels, and a private toilet and shower. The hostel also offers a well-equipped kitchen and a common lounge area. The private sauna provides a relaxing experience, and guests can enjoy the warmth of a fireplace. Additionally, guests have access to a gym, a mini golf course, and a garden grill. The surroundings of the Academy offer great opportunities for outdoor activities. Tiiliriihi is located near Lake Gallträsk, where guests can swim in the summer and enjoy ice skating and ice swimming in the winter. Breakfast is available for an additional fee at the Academy’s restaurant from Monday to Friday.
It is also possible to book the entire hostel for private events. Larger celebrations can be enhanced with the Academy’s own bar, available upon request. Tiiliriihi has various meeting rooms of different sizes, making it suitable for organizing meetings. Meeting catering can be ordered from the Academy’s restaurant.
