Ulpukka Hostelli is located in Vuolijoki, approximately 44 km from the center of Kajaani. Whether you’re in need of accommodation for a night, a week, or even temporary housing for a month, you can find peaceful and cozy home-like lodging in row houses at Vuolijoki’s Ulpukka Hostelli.
At the hostel, you can stay in comfortable row house apartments. All apartments are equipped with armchairs, a TV, a table, beds, a kitchen (with a refrigerator-freezer, stove/oven, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, and tableware), and a shower/WC. Some apartments also have a washing machine. Enjoy the gentle steam in the shared new sauna facilities of the row houses! Additionally, the main building offers washing machines, common lounges, a large Ulpukka hall, and a café. During the summer, in the middle of the courtyard area, there’s a convenient communal summer kitchen available for all residents. It can accommodate about 30 people and includes a campfire spot, a gas grill, and a paella pan. Common areas can also be rented and reserved for private group use.
A hearty breakfast can be ordered and placed in the fridge: 2 dl of juice, a piece of fruit, 2 ready-made sandwiches, 2 dl of yogurt, a tea bag, coffee, and a portion of oatmeal mix. Orders can be made when reserving a room.
Ulpukka Hostelli is also suitable for events. The Ulpukka hall can be rented for birthdays and other celebrations, for use by associations, clubs, meetings, and other events. Accommodation is also available in row house apartments for event guests. For events, catering, breakfast, and other programs can also be arranged.
Ulpukka Hostelli is located near Lake Oulujärvi, where fishing permits can be obtained through the hostel. The Talaskangas Nature Reserve is about 40 km away from the hostel.
